Yan Li is a Ph.D. student from the Storage Systems Research Center at University of California, Santa Cruz. He started the ASCAR project (http://ascar.io) to explore the idea of applying machine learning methods to optimize system performance. He talked at the Lustre User Group 2016 conference.
