James Simmons has been involved with kernel development since 1999 and was from 1999 to 2003 maintainer of the fbdev layer. Over the years of linux kernel development James has worked on very small embedded system to large super computers running linux. Since 2008 James has been active in the Lustre development community and today is co-maintainer of the Lustre upstream client.
